Not medical advice

SafeByte Health provides informational tools only. We are not a healthcare provider. Scanner results, emergency profiles, and ByteCard products do not replace professional medical advice, MedicAlert, or FDA-approved medical devices. In an emergency, call 911.

Free vs paid services

• Always free: barcode scanning, allergen profile on-device, ByteCard SOFT (QR emergency profile)
• Paid: ByteCard HARD (NFC), marketplace physical products, subscription tiers

Payments are for products and services, not charitable donations.

Orders & shipping

Physical products ship to US and Canada addresses collected at Stripe checkout. Processing typically takes 3–7 business days. Subscriptions renew monthly unless cancelled in Stripe customer portal.

Refunds

Contact privacy@safebyte.health within 14 days of delivery for defective or incorrect items. Digital/subscription refunds follow Stripe policy.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the scanner to harass brands or submit false emergency profiles
• Do not attempt to access other users' data
• Emergency profiles must contain accurate information you are authorized to share

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SafeByte Health is not liable for allergic reactions, product mislabeling by third parties, or reliance on scanner results. Ingredient data comes from Open Food Facts and manufacturer labels — always verify.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
